Dual Fan Mount
thingiverse
I was unable to locate a suitable fan mount for my dual extruder, so I designed one myself. To use the fan mount, you'll need to print three pieces: the base, arm, and fan mount. The included STL files are compatible with both 40mm and 60mm fans in single or dual configurations. The arms come in varying lengths, giving you options for how to construct the mount. Keep in mind that by design, the fans will shake back and forth slightly, especially with longer arms. If you're looking for a sturdier setup, consider locking it down somehow or using the OpenSCAD script to print thicker arms or connection pieces. Here are some specific details about the screws required: * The base is designed for M5 screws. * The arm uses M3 screws and lock nuts. * The 40mm fan mount also uses M3 screws, while the 60mm fan mount requires M4.5 screws (M3 screws will work fine). For further customization, I've made the OpenSCAD script that generated these STL files available on GitHub: https://github.com/adgaudio/3dPrinter/blob/master/random_parts/fan_dual_mount.scad. This script is parametric and should be easy to use. If you have any questions or need help with anything, feel free to ask!
