The key is to ensure the squares don't overlap, so adjust the offsets in Cura until they line up perfectly. A dot indicates the direction towards the platform's origin (0,0). Load both files into Cura and perform a dual extrusion merge. Printing should proceed as normal. However, the amf file appears not to be compatible with Cura at this time, as it loads two separate models that can't be merged.
