Dual extruder X Y calibration sample
thingiverse
My version of X Y calibration in 1 print. This is designed for fine tuning, so you'll need to get within a + - 0.2 mm offset. One method I used is taking a photo with a phone's camera. Place the phone with its screen and forward-facing camera on the print bed and let the nozzle hover above the camera by few tenths of mm. On the phone's screen, you can now see a large nozzle which you can center nicely on the screen. (Adjust the lighting to get a bright picture) Enter a G-code command to move the Y or Z axis to position the other extruder exactly on the screen and write down the displacement. This method was very accurate and required almost no correction. The middle ring offsets 0.05 mm per step, so the outer cubes have an inner offset of 0.2 mm. Good luck! UPDATE: I've added another version that should print much quicker than these squares. If needed, you could resize X and Y by multiplying them, for example, to get steps of 0.1 with a maximum offset of 0.4 mm on the ends. Print Settings: Resolution: 0.2 Notes: Nozzle diameter: 0.4
