I'm Developing an Alternative to Discarding Single Extrusion, Reusing the Single Extruder Motor for Dual Extrusion Instead. This Model is a Basic One, Utilizing Rollers and a Magnetic Actuator Controlled by a Solenoid to Switch Filaments. It Requires Only a Single Pull-Up from the Microcontroller to Activate the Magnetic Actuator via a Power MOSFET. G-Code Modifications are Necessary. The Motor Assembly Moves Back and Forth, Guided by the Rollers, as the Filament Switching Takes Place. This Setup is Ideal for Horizontal X Carriages. However, My Work on this Project has Just Begun. An Actual X Carriage Design Will be Released Soon. No Dual Extruder Main Board is Required; Only a Power MOSFET Circuit for the Heater and Actuator, as well as Firmware Tweaks.
