Dual Extruder Calibration Vernier
thingiverse
This is a printable two-axes Vernier ruler specifically designed for calibrating double extruders on RepRap-like printers. It consists of two distinct parts: the Reference and the Vernier. To utilize this tool effectively, import both STL files into your slicer software and ensure they share a common coordinate system - the specific procedure may vary depending on the slicer you're using, but with Repetier Host, simply group both parts together. Next, configure Extruder 1 as the Reference and Extruder 2 as the Vernier, then slice and print them with different colored filaments. After printing is complete, carefully measure the offset between Extruder 1 and Extruder 2 in both X and Y directions. Adjust your firmware settings accordingly, and finally, reprint a calibration part to verify the accuracy of your adjustments.
