Dual Extrude Both Extruders at Once for Replicator
thingiverse
Dual extrusion printing can be achieved using a script and instructions for running both extruders simultaneously, producing two objects at once. This method may have been the basis for ditto printing on dual extruder MakerBots but has likely been surpassed by Sailfish Firmware's ditto function. The process involves using a script that changes every extruder movement for one extruder (E000) to an extruder control movement for both (A000 B000), which requires Dimension/5D to be enabled. To print, generate gCode as usual but use start.gcode with Dimension-based Anchor, run the gCode through the script, and open it in ReplicatorG. Settings that need adjusting include turning on dimension in Skeinforge for E000 extruder movements, altering the ReplicatorG34/machines/Replicator.xml file to increase max feedrate on A and B from 1600 to 4600, unchecking "remove redundant gcode" in Skeinforge's alterations tab, and choosing a version of the gCode conversion script compatible with your operating system (XP or Vista/Win7). The start.gcode also includes warmup tricks for bed and extruders. However, Mac and Linux users are currently out of luck as the conversion code is not compatible with their systems.
