Dual E3D Titan Aero
thingiverse
The latest upgrade features a dual E3D Titan Aero, accompanied by a mount for DC42's IR probe in one seamless package. This comprehensive bundle comprises multiple files, boasting mirrored brackets that serve as courtesy panels to conceal wiring, mounts for a 40mm cable management system at the rear, and an IR probe housing. The deliberate setback on the rear of these courtesy panels allows users to route cables within the profile and bring them back out through the setback. Upon assembly, it's understandable that the motor/extruder mounts may appear to be an impossibly tight fit around the extrusion. However, as evident from the accompanying photograph, they do indeed fit. It's worth noting that I will eventually revise the design by removing screw holes altogether, given my latest extrusion profile renders them unnecessary. Nevertheless, it does require considerable force to secure these mounts in place. To achieve a smooth assembly, apply the backs of the motor/extruder mounts at an angle over the profile first, then gradually work your way up until they snap into position. This upgrade is part of a comprehensive rebuild available on Thingiverse: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2079048, now integrated with a Duet Wifi for enhanced control.
