Dual E3D bowden coldend. With one (50mm) fan to rule/cool them all!
thingiverse
I updated this design and it can be found here in wish/specs/feature list: Easy access to both hotends, nozzles fit close together at 24mm, replaces noisy E3D fans with a single 50mm fan, fan also cools print. I prefer fully enclosed hotends. Limiting angles to 40 degrees makes printing without support possible. Suitable for Prusa i3 and any printer with vertically arranged x-carriage bars. Four m3 bolts and nuts are needed: twenty-millimeter bolt for the hinge, ten- to twenty-millimeter nut for lock, fifteen-millimeter nut for fan, two twenty-five-millimeter m4 bolts and nuts fasten to x-carriage. I made door updates shorter, removed grill, unnecessary for airflow anyway, added it as a separate file. An E3D v5 version has been created. All holes are 0.25 millimeters bigger, should fit screw right away but may vary with your results. Hotend fits tightly, message me if issues arise. The story goes I've used my self-made bowden coldend for a single E3D v6 hotend, z-probe servo and blower fan cooling the print, and now planning a dual setup, so new design time it is. Access to hotend has become easier this time around, plus a better visual of the print since my current one has a fan shroud in front cooling the print, still thinking whether to keep the z-probe servo due to oscillation issues, might as well ditch it since bed leveling isn't hard so ditching the servo is doable.
