The main goal here is to ensure that the parrot has a comfortable place to stretch out its feet and get a decent grip on something flat. To achieve this, start by cutting the 12.7mm wooden dowel rods into any length you see fit. Next, carefully glue the perch brackets into the elbows of the frame so they don't rotate inward and cause the parrot to lose its balance on the perch. For added security, you can also attach the rods directly to the bracket to prevent the perch from coming loose. The rest of the frame is constructed using 1" PVC pipe and fittings, which should provide a sturdy base for your parrot's perch.
