Experience my inaugural design, crafted using DesignSpark Mechanical – a recommended free CAD program for beginners. The creation is a 40mm fan attachment designed specifically for Kossel Mini with J-Head Hot-end. This innovative design splits airflow into two parts, with the top half cooling the PEEK component of the hot-end, while the bottom half channels air around the tip and directs it towards the printing nozzle. The attachment also features a piece that securely attaches the J-Head to the Kossel Mini effector, utilizing three 3mm screws. The fan is fastened using self-tapping screws directly into the plastic (printed in PLA). For added versatility, the design incorporates four 2mm holes that can be expanded if necessary. As an extra resource, I've included the DesignSparkMechanical source file (.rsdoc) for your convenience. In regards to assembly, ensure that the J-Head is correctly positioned with the rectangle component centered in the space between the two air evacuation areas. If, like me, your heating cartridge isn't centered, you may need to rotate the head accordingly.
