Dual Centrifugal Pump RC Boat
thingiverse
This 300mm-long hull design prints in three pieces, while pumps are assembled and glued together using acetone. For mounting, a clamp style mount on the end is suggested, sealing intake and output with hot glue. The boat is compatible with various RC boat propulsion types. Marine epoxy, primer, paint, and clear coat strengthen the bottom hull coating. Impellers fit onto 3mm axles, using 3mm ID 6mm OD bearings and a 3mm ID 6mmOD rubber grommet to keep water out. A 30mm pulley is angled at right angles with a 10mm pulley on the drive motor for driving both pumps. Pilot holes are provided for later water nipple addition, cooling motor, ESC, and battery. Previously, incomplete top files were rectified, and a direct drive version was introduced using a 34mm bolt pattern standard with most 28mm brushless outrunner mounting plates. A 3-piece top design was added, to be glued on, with plans for later covering. The pump design revision includes a 3mm shaft with 'D' milled in each end, fitting into the pulley and impeller for improved belt holding at high throttle speeds, now resolved with an increased main 30mm pulley size. Updated Revised pump.zip provides the latest pump design.
