Dual Binding Post Dish

Dual binding post dish for speaker typically used to connect two different amplifiers to one speaker for bi-amped operation. Included link to binding posts I use and modeled this part to fit. Print it face down (will be a pain to pop off the bed) and then hit it with some satin black spray paint to make it look super professional when done. These turned out pretty awesome and in the application I used them for they look like the aluminum single binding post dishes they replaced! Awesome! Print Settings Printer Brand: Robo 3D Printer: R1 ABS + PLA Model Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.200mm Infill: 50% Notes: Needed a dual binding post dish to modify an existing speaker to be bi-amped. Couldn't find anything to fit the bill, so modeled this to fit my needs. Designed to fit into an appropriately shaped 4.5mm recess in the back of the speaker with a centered 3" (76mm) hole. Attached a picture of the unfinished rear panel of the speaker for reference. Don't have to do the recess for the dish, just drill a 3" hole and screw this onto the back of your speaker and you should be all set. Specific binding posts used are from Parts Express (part number 091-1245). https://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-bpa-38g-hd-binding-post-pair-gold--091-1245 Made it thick with extra bracing on the back to make sure its strong and will stand the test of time. Two files with two different thicknesses to the rear stiffening flange (the ~3" circle feature). Now that I've made a few of these, don't think its necessary to have this feature printed so tall, so cut it down and uploaded both files here so you can print your preference. The print you see in the pictures was done on medium settings with black PLA. Printed it face down and then finished it off with satin black spray paint on the face of the part to give it a professional look. As long as your speakers aren't located outdoors then PLA with a light coat of spray paint should stand the test of time just fine, but of course choose the best filament for your application. H is for High, L is for Low (incase that wasn't obvious) and indicates that the adjacent binding posts are connected to the high frequency section or low frequency section in the speakers. Let me know if you have any questions. Happy Making! -Erik
