Dual Bearing Spool Adapter Anet A8
thingiverse
I originally printed the Parametric Universal Spool Holder and liked it but wanted to make it better. So, what did I do? First, I removed the smaller 1/3 of the cone because I had no spools that small. Then, I added a small ring to the existing bearing hole which would prevent pressure from being placed on the inner rasp of the bearing causing friction. Next, I added a second bearing to the small end of the adapter and included that ring to assist with less resistance on the bearing. If you want the clips and washers from the original model, please print them from the original link. I successfully printed this and it works great! The bearings are very tight but they fit perfectly. I had to press them in with all my weight on a table top. You can find the original design here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:767317. Thank you! Print Settings: Printer: Anet A8 Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.1mm Infill: 20% Notes: I also slowed my speed down to 40mm/sec print speed and printed this in ABS as well. The material used doesn't really matter, whether you choose PLA or ABS.
