Dual Ballbearing Filament Guide for Creality Ender 3

Dual Ballbearing Filament Guide for Creality Ender 3

This is my take on the ultimate filament guide for the Ender 3. Design Considerations: * Prints quickly and easily with no supports required. * Mounts quickly and easily, but with some adjustability. * Works well with basically any spool position - top, side, you name it. * Actually aligns the filament with the hole in the extruder arm. I found a lot of existing designs were too tall. You Will Need: * Print 1: "Dual Bearing Filament Guide Ender 3" * Print 2: "Bearing Pin 4.0mm" * Buy 2: U604ZZ Ball Bearings (eBay, Amazon, etc.) Printing Tips: * Print the main part with the mounting slot facing down. * Print the pins with the chamfered end facing up. * No supports or extra build plate adhesion should be needed. * Pretty much any infill setting should be OK. I printed mine with 100% infill, but the part is small/thin enough that it's mostly wall anyway. Assembly & Installation: * Slide the bearings into position, then push the pins through the bearings until they bottom out flush. * The pins should fit snugly enough that no glue is required. * Slide onto the extruder bracket and line bearings up with the filament hole. * Load your filament and hit print! Extra Info: * The bearing used here is the same type as the stock extruder, so having a couple of spares around isn't a bad thing! I wound up buying a 10-pack for a few dollars.
