This device utilizes hardware and springs, providing an automatic extend/retract mechanism. As the slider moves forward, it increases central spring tension while overcoming the lock out. Once at optimal tension, the lockout is bypassed, forcing the slider to propel the extended object until locked by forward lock out. The "Slider" resets for retracting actions. Included are plates with files, singles, and a Google SketchUp file. Attach pulling springs or rubber bands to join catches; design lock outs to spring open easily for slider tuck-in. Bolting is facilitated via case holes.
