Dual 8025 full layer cooling mount for Ender 3
thingiverse
This mount repurposes the Bowden extruder mount point (assuming one has replaced it with direct drive) as a rigid mount point for dual 8025 cooling fans for whole-layer cooling. It's not a very polished design, but easy to print and use and gets the job done. The two parts bolt together with M8 screws which can themselves be printed. The angle bracket mounts to the bottom of the extruder motor mount with 4 M3 screws and nuts in the NEMA-17 arrangement just like the motor would have mounted. These parts should be printed in material with low or no creep. I printed mine a long time ago with dubious "PETG" and they've held up fine, but HTPET or ASA is probably ideal. The angle bracket should be printed 100% infill, preferably as all walls. The fan plate can be lower infill but should have plenty of top/bottom layers. You can use any 80mm fans you like. Mine are GDSTIME 8025 12V high flow (rated 59 CFM each), powered off a buck converter that's also powering my 5015 fans on the toolhead.
