A major overhaul of thing:731176, incorporating an enhanced fan grid that boosts airflow while making it easier to install a potentiometer on the inside for precise RPM control. The side tabs holding the design in place have been tweaked to perfection. This unique approach to side cooling proves invaluable with PLA prints and can also work wonders when used cautiously with ABS. Now I can effortlessly print outrageous overhangs like these without any hassle. When printed with ABS, this project tends to warp badly at the ends, so take extra precautions to ensure excellent bed adhesion. The widely-touted "ABS juice" is my top choice for getting the job done. The 2 x 60mm 12v fans were directly connected to the printer's 12v input on the control board in the back. These fans consume a mere 0.22A combined, rendering an external power source completely unnecessary. An optional potentiometer can be installed for hands-on speed control of the fans. With their newly enhanced fan grid design, these little workhorses pack quite a punch; having the ability to dial down the speed makes sense when tackling sensitive prints. The 10K-Ohm potentiometer I used measures 16x16x7 mm in standard dimensions.
