Dual 5015 Ender 3 DD Fan Duct for Phaetus Dragonfly bms
prusaprinters
!!Warning: This has not been tested with the stock hotend, it is made for the Phaetus Dragonfly bms. The DD setup might be a little heavy if you don't have a sturdy x axis or a dual z rod.For assembly you will need 7x7mm M3 screws. I used self tapping ones, but normal M3 should work as well. You can add the ducts in any order you like and the same goes for disassembly in case the hotend needs to be repaired. The LJ12A3-4-Z/BX probe is mounted with the stock hardware very close to the hotend, scanning almost de entire bed. The right duct also clears the tensioner, allowing the x axis travel to go 250mm from the stock 235mm on some models of the Ender 3.The cooling works well, i have had great results with bridging using PLA+ at 190C and a the air converges right under the nozzle. I haven't done any air flow simulations yet, but i have done the water under the nozzle test with good results. You can add direct drive to it by using the generic mounts that go behind the backplate onto the roller spacers, securing them down with the included screw hole. I strongly recomand making the DD bracket out out of a material that is not springy, as it will affect print quality.I have tested it up to around 5000mm/s^2 accel, 70mm/s speed with no problems, except for a resonance caused by the cheap fans I am using as they like to vibrate at full power
