Dual 5.25" RAID Bay
thingiverse
Built a dual 5.25" bay hard drive cage to house 3x 3.5" HDD's. This was for my Cooler Master HAF XB EVO case to replace the dual 5.25" bays with additional hard drives for my UNRAID setup. I tested V1 using low quality settings (0.4mm layer height). The top and bottom HDD was a little tight, but fit. The middle was a little more loose so I needed to secure with a screw. The slot for 5.25" bay rails were a little tight and difficult to line up but managed to get the cage to slide in with some fiddling. RAID Bay V2: - Widened the HDD slots by 0.4mm. - Widened the screw hole diameter by 0.5mm. - Widened the slot for the 5.25 rails by .2mm. - Added top and bottom vent holes. Need to rotate the model 180 degrees to print (so the retaining tabs are at the top). I'm currently using v1 w/an 80mm fan. HDD temps are in the low to mid 30's (C).
