Here's a simple fan bracket to hold two 40x40mm fans in place, with the bottom of each fan sitting flush against the bracket itself. A single screw in the center secures the bracket firmly into position. The depth of the fans is not fixed, allowing you to use either 10mm or 20mm fans for increased static pressure. This design is specifically tailored to add cooling fans to the M3D Promega 3D printer without requiring any modifications at all. Since there are already holes in the case below the Maestro board, you can plug the fan headers directly into the Expansion header on the Maestro board, which has two sets of GND+5V available (just be sure to have or create a two-pin fan header first). Using this bracket is a straightforward and low-effort approach that yields high returns. To further boost efficiency, consider attaching heat sinks to the motor driver chips, as they generate most of the heat in the system. The Duet 2 Maestro board is designed to pull heat out of the bottom, so this bracket forces air under the board while the fans sit flush with the case. Additionally, it's crucial (though not essential) to note that cutting some venting on the bottom of the case below the fans would be beneficial for fresh airflow.
