Dual 18650 Box Mod
thingiverse
I want a minimalist box, stripped down to its bare essentials. After tinkering and reprinting, this design won out. It's roughly the same size as the Hammond 1590g box, compact yet efficient. The box is engineered for seamless integration with the Fat Daddy V4 510 connector and a reliable 12mm switch. The lid clicks snugly into place, but I've also included ventilation holes just in case. Those are strong rare earth magnets, by the way – 0.125 inches in diameter and 0.0625 inches thick. You can use this box as-is or adapt it to suit your needs. Here's how I put this together: I used Simplify3d to create the design slices. The print settings were: Layer height of 0.1mm. Infill strategy: a combination of sparse infill every 2 layers and a moderate amount of solid infill (50%). I also adjusted the infill extrusion width to be a bit wider (120%) and set the overlap to be at least 30%.
