DtM-v3.0-BS2.3

thingiverse

This is an updated version of DtM-v3.0. It has been modified from the original DtM-v3.0 in several key ways: 1. A side clip system has been added to the cradle/frame, replacing pegs with a 3D printed strap for easier attachment. This modification allows individuals without access to elastic straps to create their own attachment mechanism for the face shield. 2. The 3D printed strap is designed in three parts, making it possible to print components on even the smallest 3D printers. Multiple openings enable custom fitting of the headband to various head sizes, ranging from small to very large. For improved retention, consider using TPU/flexible materials for the headband. 3. End clips have been added to enhance face shield retention during movement or accidental bumps. 4. A bevel has been incorporated into the inner forehead region to improve comfort and reduce irritation. These modifications are designed to maintain the effectiveness of the DtM-v3.0 3D printed face shield design while allowing for easier production and customization. As always, verify acceptance criteria with medical receiving units before use. This updated model will be uploaded to NIH as a remix of the original DtM-v3.0 design. For proper use and validation, please refer to the original DtM-v3.0 instructions.
