DTI holder for quick tool change

DTI holder for quick tool change

thingiverse

I've created a holder for my digital touch indicator (DTI) that perfectly complements the Quick tool change I developed earlier this year on Thingiverse https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3369444. This holder has been my go-to solution for a while now, thanks to its simplicity and effectiveness, as evidenced by design https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2469518 which serves as the inspiration behind it. To level my print bed without relying on G-code, I place the DTI approximately 50mm from the left edge and below, then home the Z-axis and zero the DTI before moving it 200mm to the other corners using Octopi. This process allows for easy leveling adjustments until I'm satisfied with the result. The digital indicator I use is made by Dasqua, available on https://www.hbm-machines.com/producten/dasqua/dasqua-professionele-001-mm-slag-digitale-meetklokken, a Dutch site that offers high-quality products. The 8mm shaft is standard, making it likely that other indicators will also fit without any issues. If you encounter any problems, feel free to reach out and I'll be happy to make adjustments. I've included the STEP file for your convenience, allowing you to modify the design as needed. In my next YouTube video, I plan to feature this holder in action, along with a tutorial on properly leveling your print bed.
