My Customized Dial Gauge Holder for the ProperPrinting Quick Change Tool. This version positions the tip of the gauge exactly where the stock nozzle sits when mounted on my modified Alfawise U30 Quick Tool Change, as seen in this Thingiverse design: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3765276. It makes it easy to level the bed by placing the hotend-mounted dial gauge at the top set screw and then setting the other corners to match its height. The holder is designed for precise printing without supports on the print bed, specifically on the left side when viewed from the front (as shown in this Cura image). Using a brim is recommended to ensure stability during printing. To assemble it, you will need one 10mm or longer M4 screw and its corresponding nut. This dial gauge holder is compatible with any gauge featuring an 8mm shaft, such as my Silverline gauge from Amazon. However, note that some gauges may have a rear mount that obstructs placement, so I've included a replacement rear cap design in the download package. The replacement rear cap includes a sacrificial layer within its holes, which can be easily perforated using a 2mm drill bit. Printing should be done with the external side facing up on the print bed (refer to this Cura image for guidance).
