dt750 yaw mount
thingiverse
After extensive research for a perfect yaw mount, I decided to design one myself. With SolidWorks at my disposal, it was time to bring my idea to life. A recent crash with a poorly designed mount had left me with something to draw inspiration from. This new design is tailored specifically for tricopters equipped with 12 mm booms, DT750 motors, and a BMS-620MG servo. To secure the mount to the servo axle, I recommend using epoxy or another robust adhesive. Be cautious not to apply too much glue, as this could inadvertently bond the mount to the servo case. Instead, use only a small drop of glue to ensure a precise attachment. For mounting the motor to the yaw mount, I opted for 4 mm zip-ties, which also proved effective in securing the mount and servo to the frame. It's worth noting that the bottom piece of this design is intentionally asymmetric. When used correctly, it should rotate smoothly. To facilitate smooth rotation, I utilized a 3 mm shaft and drilled a single hole through one part of the yaw mount.
