DStretch The upper level catacombs corridor features an arched niche over one tomb with a slightly flexible frame in the zenith, topped by a red medallion featuring a cross. The back wall of the tomb showcases tendrils of vines and a medallion depicting the bust of deceased Eleusinius. Two opened books dominate the lower part of the reveal, while rhomb-shaped flowers fill the rest. Red bands adorned with gems and pearls frame the motives. Inscription: SCE MEM HELEVSINIVS - In memory of Heleusinius, a saintly person. The artwork dates back to the 5th-6th century AD. Processed from 499 photos and 2 laser scans, this project is a joint effort between GDH, the Zamani Project, Università degli Studi di Napoli "L'Orientale", and the Administration of the Catacombe di Napoli. Reality Capture processed the results. Seniorprofessor Dr. Dieter Korol from Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster provided the descriptions for project # Fresco 5.
