DSLR Shoulder Rig
thingiverse
This 3D printed DSLR shoulder rig is designed with industry-standard aluminum pipe size and spacing for enhanced stability when shooting video. It can be combined with commercial parts or rigs, but only one combination has been attempted. The OpenSCAD source files are provided for customization based on different pipes or screw sizes. To print the rig similar to the picture, you'll need 1 camera plate, 2 standard clamps B, 2 dual parallel standard clamp A, 1 standard clamp handle holder at 30 degrees, 1 standard clamp handle guide at 30 degrees, 1 standard clamp handle holder at -30 degrees, and 1 standard clamp handle guide at -30 degrees. Additionally, you'll need 16 Habbycam thumb screws from Thingiverse, aluminum pipes with outer diameters of 15mm for the main pipes and 20mm for the handle pieces, foam handles and a shoulder pad covered in nylon cloth, and various M6 and M4 screws and nuts. The rig can be mounted with a Manfrotto sliding plate or using a 1/4-inch screw for direct camera tripod mount or quick-release plate attachment. Extra parts are also provided to hold an audio recorder like the Zoom H4n, and a strap clip if needed. Lastly, two designs for corc cutouts are available in the lasercut_parts.pdf file for better grip without scratching mounted equipment.
