DSLR Shoulder Rig (15mm Rail) Remix
thingiverse
This is the first of two remixes I did of http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:29677 for a film class I took last month. The other one is here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1594004 For this one, the changes are incredibly minor. I just made the handles stack together much more neatly and it's designed specifically for a camera with a flip-out viewfinder so it doesn't need offset pieces. I also created two sleeves so you can use standard 22.2mm bicycle handlebar grips. I was able to find the foam shoulder pad on TaoBao for about $5, which made printing that part unnecessary. Amazon seems to have similar pads but at a slightly higher price: http://amzn.com/B00ENYMQ8Ihttp://amzn.com/B00OFJMKWS As with the original, you'll need 15mm and 20mm aluminum tubing, which I used in thicker dimensions than necessary (15mmOD/10mmID and 20mmOD/12mmID). The end plugs reflect this, but they're not essential - it just looks cleaner. The thumbwheels are available here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:11848 The link to the original model details the required hardware. Parts list: 2 Piece: DSLR_Shoulder_Rig_handlebar_adapter 1 Piece: DSLR_Shoulder_Rig_close_hand_grip_A 1 Piece: DSLR_Shoulder_Rig_close_hand_grip_B 2 Piece: DSLR_Shoulder_Rig_close_hand_grip_C 1 Piece: DSLR_Shoulder_Rig_simple_rail_spacer 2 Piece: DSLR_Shoulder_Rig_std_clamp 2 Piece: 20mm_end_plugs 4 Piece: 15mm_end_plug 1 Piece: camera_plate_1-4_20 or camera_plate_3-8
