DSLR Camera Slider (Stepper Motor Driven)
thingiverse
This is a continuation of my pan tilt mount project, designed specifically for my DSLR Canon EOS 250D camera. If you haven't checked out the initial design yet, you can find it on Thingiverse here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4316563. In this latest iteration, I've added a slider to the pan tilt mount, giving users even more flexibility with their camera movements. You can check out the project video on my YouTube channel at https://youtu.be/v1b7Wvu87-U. The slider itself is comprised of 3D printed parts, M3 nuts and bolts, and 2020 V-slot aluminum extrusion, all working together in harmony to create a smooth and precise movement. I've also incorporated the same PCB used in my pan tilt mount, which means this new design benefits from the same features, including Bluetooth communication with an Arduino Nano, an RGB status LED, auto-homing capabilities, and even the ability to trigger the camera's shutter. You can find all the necessary code, schematics, and parts lists on my GitHub repository here: https://github.com/isaac879/Pan-Tilt-Mount. The 2GT timing belt, 20-tooth timing pulley, and 16th microstepping work together to achieve an astonishing precision of 0.0125mm. The movement speed can be adjusted to suit your needs, ranging from extremely slow for time-lapses to a maximum of about 200mm/s in full step mode.
