The lantern is designed to be easily switched between gears with a single pedal (foot lever). It matches the Märklins DKW model, which also has a single gear drive. The lantern can be immediately connected to the light guide of Märklins' gear shift levers for K-gear. Although the pictures show it on C-gear, this cannot be done without major modifications to the light guide and shift movement.
