Mounting an electronic speedo from a Trail Tech Vapor onto a DRZ400SM requires minimal effort. However, this method won't work on E or S models unless you have an SM full float brake rotor. The magnet "adapter" slips into one of the brake rotor buttons and is held in place by a small press fit and a dab of superglue. The supplied magnet with the Vapor kit also gets glued into position. To secure the cable guide, replace one side of the stock mount using the original bolts. You'll need to source two M6x1.0 nuts separately. When installing the speedo sensor, mark a line where the bottom of the sensor sits on the fork guard, ensuring the magnet is centered or close to it. Remove the guard and drill two 4mm holes before mounting with the supplied M4 hardware from the Vapor kit.
