Drywall Tape Reel
thingiverse
This open source drywall tape reel features a belt clip that works exceptionally well. However, caution is advised when using it because if there's an issue, the tape spins too freely, potentially causing a jam if pulled too hard. The reel is designed to handle a 500' spool of tape. If demand increases, I can create smaller reels for 250 and/or 75' spools, which might be more suitable for portable dispensers. Since I only purchase 500' spools, this was the most practical option available. This project is part of an effort to develop a comprehensive open source ecosystem of drywall tools, including mud boxes and seamers. These tools are relatively simple and prone to wear and tear over time. The only exception is knives, which can be easily obtained from dollar stores and are superior in quality compared to printed alternatives.
