Drywall Nubs

Drywall nubs? These auger-style drywall/plasterboard anchors have a little knob on the end that you can either hang skinny things on directly (like lanyards, picture frame wire), or you can use them as anchor points for accessories with keyhole slots in the back. They lock into the drywall very securely, can support much larger loads than a simple screw, and give you a clean, finished look. Just screw them in (self-drilling!) with a standard Phillips screwdriver wherever you need to hang something. Oh, and if you happen to hit a stud, I've included a “stud” mount version of the nub that just has the knob that you install with a standard drywall screw.

For accessories, I've included:

Simple Hook

Cloth Grabber

Basic Shelf

Shelf with Hooks

I've also included STEP and STL files for the keyhole socket you can incorporate into designs for your own hangable accessories.

All parts print in the orientations shown and without supports. The anchors should be printed with 5 perimeter lines and no more than 0.2mm layer thickness for maximum strength. The accessories can be printed with 3 perimeter lines and 0.2mm layer thickness.

And finally, the anchor spacing for the two shelves I've posted should be 5.00"/127mm.
