I designed this screw-in auger style drywall anchor for mounting picture frames, hooks, hangers, etc. in drywall. I use these anchors to repair holes that have already pulled out using the smaller non-threaded style anchors. This design prints well without support. I recommend printing with ABS and a high infill percentage. Even chunky layer heights seem to work well, though the threads may look somewhat ugly. However, I haven't used PLA yet, but a very brittle, non-toughened PLA would likely be a poor choice. Lube up your mounting screw with some soap before driving it into the anchor - this will help reduce the torque required. You can modify the scaling of the part in your slicer to achieve larger or smaller sizes as needed.
