This grated table over a cup can be used to safely hold anything that fits within the perimeter and leaks. The top "surface" is only 2.5" x 2.5", however, so it may need to be scaled up to hold larger objects such as sponges.
This may require a long file and pen knife to remove support material. Handle with care.
