Dryer lint vacuum attachment for Dyson DC27 (I think)
pinshape
Our new dryer has an annoying thin screen that lets way too much lint slip through, forcing us to constantly vacuum out the mess. The attachments for my Dyson just aren't getting into all the nooks and crannies, so I came up with a clever adapter using an ordinary plastic hose. Get 1 foot of plastic hose from your local hardware store - it should have an outer diameter of 5/8 inches and an inner diameter of 1/2 inch. Print both parts. They can be printed without any support material because I deliberately left the interior of the top part empty for this very reason. The large opening is also angled to match the taper of the end of my Dyson vacuum cleaner, while the "fingers" are tapered as well, along with the inside of the nut, which seems to help compress the hose. Slide one end of the hose into the nut and then keep pushing it further into the adapter until the end of the hose is flush against the interior wall. I intended to have a lip on the inside, but when I added the angle I accidentally destroyed that feature and didn't realize it. In my next version, I would probably make the hole for inserting the hose a bit larger, as well as thicken up the "fingers".
