Dryer Door Handle

01/03/2015... just realized you might think the part my hand is holding in that screenshot is what I printed out... but it's actually an old cracked one!\nReplacement Dryer Door Handle.\nGoing to print this in PLA\nTotally designed from scratch, taking apart and inspecting current dryer door handle\nPrint Settings\nPrinter Brand:\nSeeMeCNC Printer: ORION Delta 3D Printer Rafts:\nYes Supports:\nYes Notes:\nWork in progress (12-24-2015)\nI'll be using a raft for the bottom support (there are small triangles beneath to 'catch' the sheet metal edges of the door slot where the handle goes, retaining it firmly) and a few small protrusions can be made.\nSupport will also be used for the handle opening where fingers go.\n12/24/2015 ETA: added a new pic showing the tabs underneath still to place so the unit 'snaps' into the dryer door.\n01/03/2015 ETA: First attempt at building raft and supports.... Whoa, that's a lot of filament! haha...\n3 final pics uploaded now... back to reworking because it's too big! Cleaned up all the rafting and support; actually wasn't too bad. After fixing one front tab without breaking it... rushed the other one snapping off its 'latch' with the raft. That's okay since I realized this wouldn't fit anyway. This is why I chose blue PLA (large spools of which I have around).\nGoing to recheck fit in the door, resize if needed, and reprint.\nPosted v.2 files for OpenSCAD enthusiasts; still figuring out things like modules, polyhedrons and creating 3D instead of 2D so final rendering will work right! This project's taken me deeper into OpenSCAD... I'm grateful but still working!\nAlso appears when transitioning some aspects, finger well wound up ~10mm too shallow. The 'difference' for the cube I "used" to create it just didn't move far enough back so open space isn't as much as I wanted.\nStill good enough for people's fingers though and won't get lost in the crack between door handle. Now I've got an even better buffer!
