DryBox Open ended funnel
thingiverse
This lid is designed for hassle-free, mess-free refilling of the DryBox desiccant container. I created this because my lack of skill made it impossible to pour dried pellets into the small opening of the open-ended dry box version without spilling them everywhere. Made in under 30 minutes using Blender 3D by starting with the original lid and modifying it. The first print looks great and works perfectly. Note that the threads on my print, which were printed in silk PLA, were quite tight but usable on the first try. I used the tighten/loosen/tighten method to slowly break the threads during the first attempt and prevent them from getting too tight as the fine hairs broke apart. After a few cycles of tightening and loosening per centimeter, the threads loosened up nicely. If they start to get too tight, just back off and work it a little to free them again. When near the bottom of the threads, the inner stop should hit the top of the container and seal it, preventing beads from leaking through while pouring.
