DryBox for PVA - Ultimaker3
thingiverse
So you treated yourself to a brand new Ultimaker 3 - that's awesome! Now you need something to keep your PVA (or Nylon) dry, as it degrades super fast when left exposed. The Ultimaker team advises storing it after use and not leaving it on the printer. My suggestion is to store it even while printing, especially since dual prints can take a long time. Here's what I came up with: a closed box combined with a spool holder and a holder for the moisture-absorbing material. I simply feed out the filament from the side of the box using a small piece of Bowden tube. I created one setup for PVA and another for Nylon. To make it work, I placed the box on the left-hand side of the printer, just in front of the right feeder. All you need to do is put everything together with some bolts and nuts - M3 size should do the trick.
