Drybox for Filament IKEA Samla edition

This THING is just a useful helper for storing your filament. This is a multi part design. The single parts will be connected by press fit via bridge piece. It is designed to fit into the IKEA Samla storage box. There are different types of boxes from IKEA. You have to use the 22 liter version. The one with the dimensions like 28 x 39 x 28 cm. The print provides a hollow bottom in your storage box. The space between is filled with silica gel balls. There are different humidity absorbing chemicals out there. The best choice is to use one of the products which is colour indicated. That means when the chemical cannot absorb any more humidity it will change the colour. If your silica gel has absorbed water to the max you can easily dry it in the oven. Please read the instuctions of your product! In my case the product is from Steiner Chemie. This product changes the colour from orange to green. Green means it cannot absorb any more humidity. The benefit is that you can see if your drybox is working correctly only by looking from the outsite though the clear box. You can store a hell of filaments in your boxes and it is guranteed that the conditions are right. Imagine a wall of dryboxes for filament and you can see the status of the silica gel only by walking along. One IKEA Samla box can store like 6 Filaments. The print is like 12 hours for all Parts of my Prusa. At first i thought i should make it out of wood. This would be much faster. But this is 3D printing hobby. Sometimes it doesnt has to be logic!
