Drybox filament spool rollers
prusaprinters
This is my approach for dry-box filament storage based on Ikea Samla 65l box for 4 spools. I also needed a 1 meter of 8mm threaded rod and handful of nuts. Each spool is placed on 4 rollers. Rolls are 3cm width, so it is easy to put a spool in place (and various spool size will fit). Each roller is made of three elements - 2 halfs and a join. Parts fit tight, no glue is required. Rollers are designed for bearing 608z. The fitting is tight - it is easier to put the bearing in, when the prints is still hot. Extra support element is used to ensure the rods doesn't bend horizontaly. It also has a hole in the middle for extra vertical supports (but I didn't use it finally). The best way to assemble the dry box, is to put all elements together fist (outside of the box), and than squize it in (it is a bit hard).
