Drybox Filament Port For PC4-M10x1.0 Fittings
thingiverse
This is just another filament port for a drybox, with this one being for PC4-M10x1.0 fittings that need to be securely connected. It uses a compression fitting to retain a piece of PTFE tubing that "hangs in the breeze" to guide the filament into the coupling off the spool. I created the "nozzle" that extends into the base of the PC4 fitting because I found it eliminated the filament catching on the plastic stop on the underside of the PC4 fitting. I printed with 0.1mm resolution due to the threads needing extra detail for a smooth finish. The holes and nuts are M3, making them easy to work with and assemble. I found that using 12mm screws works well for me, leaving you some extra space if you want to insert a gasket of your choice. Updates: - When creating the hole cutout template, I realized that the dimensions were random decimals. The models have been updated to more realistic values, making it easier to cut the holes. - I ripped apart and modeled the actual PC4-M10x1.0 push connector fitting to check for any potential interference. - I've uploaded the actual PC4-M10 fitting file and a link to the Fusion 360 project file as a separate project. Check out my other projects if you need or want the fitting in your own project.
