### Freshly Designed Filament Pass-Through #### Update 10/09/2019 - Enhanced PTFE Tube Cap Inner Diameter to 4.2mm for a Secure Fit on PTFE Tube I've Developed a Versatile Filament Pass-Through That Directly Feeds the Filament from Inside the Drybox into a PTFE Tube. #### Printed Components: * Outer Feeder: Guides the PTFE tube through the PTFE connector fitting to the Inner Feeder * Inner Feeder: Two Variations Available: * Type 1 Features an Outer Thread for Screwing the Inner Feeder Cap On, Allowing for Use of a Sponge on the Filament * Type 2 Enables Direct Feeding of the Filament Through the Filament Cutout in the Inner Feeder into the PTFE Tube, No Cap Required * PTFE Tube Cap: Used to Seal Unused Pass-Throughs #### Essential Components (for One Pass-Through Assembly): * PTFE tube (4mm Outer Diameter, 2mm Inner Diameter) * 1x PC4 PTFE Push-in Connector Fitting * 2x Socket Head Cap Screws M4 (Length as Needed) * 2x M4 Nuts * Optional: Piece of Sponge #### Instructions: * Required Drill Holes: * 4.5mm for Outer Holes - M4 Screws Will be Screwed Through * 6mm for Middle Hole - PTFE Tube Will Pass Through, Easing Alignment of Outer and Inner Feeder Parts * Press M4 Nuts into Relevant Spots on the Inner Feeder * Assemble Inner and Outer Feeder Parts Together * Outer Feeder: Gently Screw in the PTFE Connector Fitting - Added Space to Inner Thread for Secure Connection * Push PTFE Tube Through PTFE Connector Fitting and Outer Feeder Until It Stops at the End of the PTFE Tube Guide on the Inner Feeder * If Using Type 2 Inner Feeder, Push Filament Through Inner Feeder Filament Hole into PTFE Tube * For Type 1 Inner Feeder, Push Filament Through Filament Cutout in the Inner Feeder Cap * Next, Pass Filament Through a Piece of Sponge (for Dust/Dirt Removal or Lubrication) Prior to Passing It Through the Inner Feeder Filament Hole * Screw the Inner Feeder Cap onto the Inner Feeder - Assembly Complete Any Comments and Suggestions for Improvements are Welcome
