Drybox feeder for moisture sensitive filaments
thingiverse
To prevent moisture damage in sensitive filaments like Nylon, Polycarbonate, PVA, or possibly PLA, use this device to feed directly from a moisture-resistant storage container to your printer head. Be sure to check out PhillipTheMobster's filament stand (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:318527) for perfect compatibility. To assemble the moisture barrier, drill three 1/4" holes in your storage container and use 8-32x 3/8" pan head machine screws to secure two pieces together. You can optionally use sealant, but airflow is likely minimal even without it. The outlet features a tubing push connect designed for 1/8" BSPP threads. Use McMaster PN 5225K504 fitting with 6mm OD tubing and Snapware 23-cup storage container for large MakerGeeks spools. Add a desiccant pouch or container for extra moisture protection, and use a hair dryer and blunt object to adjust the leg piece if needed. A fixed leg .stl is available upon request.
