The holder that comes with dry-erase boards lets markers spill all over the place as soon as you try to use more than two different colors. It doesn't need any support, could be printed shorter and still work just fine, so that's even more flexibility in how it looks. For mounting, the markers are light enough that 2 or 3 wall strips have held them up for over a year now.
