Dry Detergent Dispenser
thingiverse
I loved the original coffee dispenser design but wanted a larger version for making homemade laundry detergent at home. The hinge and pins are identical to the originals, but I modified the bin, cup, and lid. I chose not to use the wall mount adapter. The cup needed some fine sanding to achieve a smooth rotation at the mouth of the chute, especially since the fine detergent particles made it quite gritty. To print the cup smoothly, I printed it horizontally instead of vertically as shown in the design. You can definitely print with a lower resolution to reduce the amount of sanding required. This would make the process much easier and faster. To ensure the mounting plate is strong enough, be sure to print it with 100% infill. This will provide maximum strength and durability. Lastly, I designed the cup to dispense approximately the same amount as my regular detergent scoop, which holds roughly two heaping tablespoons of detergent.
