Dry Box with Filament Control for Maker Ultimate

This kit has several parts and is highly customized for my printer, the Monoprice Maker Ultimate. It started as a dry box for filament storage and feeding, inspired by Thomas Sanladerer's video. A little weather stripping and some silica gel in a storage bin form the foundation. The extra box clips are optional but give me just a little extra seal around the lid. Adding hangers to the box allowed the spools to be suspended on a cheap piece of extendable curtain rod. Update 6/11/2017: Don't bother with the curtain rod to hang the spools; it was an okay first draft solution, but it is very difficult to change spools. You basically have to remove everything and then get it remounted with the one new spool. Try this instead - Slightly Taller Spool Holder. With this you just pick up the empty spool and drop in the new one, no problem. The little grommets for the PTFE guide tubes keep the very low friction tubes from working their way into the box over time and jamming the spool. Thirty (30) inches seems to be a good length for the guide tubes. Next came the manifold to keep the several (5 in this case) tubes orderly. Note the little ring to corral the loose ends to prevent them from interfering with the print. I find a piece or two of 3M Command strips keeps the assembly in place. Finally, the extruder cap keeps the guide tube upright and inline with the extruder intake to eliminate the final point of friction. Material switching has never been easier, and all the humidity-sensitive filaments almost never get exposed to the environment. As a bonus, I've included the little camera mount for the Raspberry Pi Waveshare camera I use on my OctoPrint setup.
