I designed custom fittings and nuts specifically for capturing Capricorn tubing. The purpose is straightforward: to allow the filament to pass through the side of a dry box with minimal friction, thereby eliminating the need to remove the spool from the dry box. This also eliminates the necessity for a spool holder on the printer. To hold my spools, I repurposed an old rod from a baby gate, so I'm not uploading the supports that I printed to keep them upright. Note: The nuts require some post-processing clean up in order to function properly, especially if elephant foot occurs. I used a simple deburring tool to tidy them up before assembling everything together.
