Hello everyone. Here's version 8 of the laptop / mac stand I designed once my work required me to switch to mac :( It features a 4-piece design, with the "leg" needing to be printed in the provided orientation, and another mirrored. <b>BEFORE YOU PRINT!</b> To make this design sturdy some hardware is required: - standard M3 Nut - 4 pcs. - M3x20 <i>(or longer)</i> - 4 pcs. - These can be tapered head screws, but you should use flat base screws Print considerations: - Print in the default orientation, with no support - The screw holes are supported by a small full section, so the holes need to be cleaned up before use. - Its highly recommended you use the "pad" versions when you print this, unless you are very confident in your bed adhesion / material warp. - The nuts fit into the slots in the crossbars, and should be on the tighter side, - After inserting them into the slots, try to center them as best you can. - If for some reason when turning the screws the nut rotates, you can hold it down with a narrow flathead screwdriver until the threads have fully engaged. Myself and two handfuls of my coworkers have been using these without complaints* for about a year now, and everyone seems to be happy with them. *They switched us over to use M1 macs a year ago so there's a version that fits the M1 as well, I've included a "universal" version I haven't actually printed. If you do, let me know how it went :D
