In my yard, I've got a veggie garden under constant attack by slug gangs marauding at night. Several eco-friendly solutions can tackle this issue; one involves placing beer in a trap and waiting it out. Slugs are notorious beer aficionados, tumbling headfirst into the container. Unfortunately for them, they lack the limbs needed to swim against the tide, making drowning an inevitability once they're good and soused.
